Rajesh is a qualified lawyer in the UK and India. He specialises in litigation and commercial aspects of intellectual property law.

He regularly advises clients on patent matters, particularly relating to the telecommunications, electronics, software and pharmaceutical sector involving both UK and European law. Rajesh also advises on intellectual property policy development and associated issues in standard setting organisations such as the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). 

As part of his practice, he has advised on RFID technologies, electronic tagging using GPS technologies, medical devices, laser based scanning devices, GSM standards relating to mobile telephones and biologics.

Rajesh qualified as a lawyer in India in 2000 and gained valuable litigation experience having represented multi-national and domestic companies before the Trial Courts and High Court of Delhi. After qualifying as a UK Solicitor in 2005, Rajesh worked at Powell Gilbert and Bird & Bird. He also worked on several intellectual property projects funded by European Commission and UK Research Councils. He joined Marks & Clerk Solicitors LLP in January 2008.

Rajesh has an LLM from the University of Cambridge and is currently undertaking his doctoral studies in Patent Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, University of London. He also holds a First Class Degree in Electronics.

Rajesh is a member of the Law Society and the IP Society in the UK and Bar Council of Delhi in India.  He is fluent in English, Spanish and Hindi and enjoys reading, travelling, listening to music and playing Badminton.
