Kirsten is an intellectual property lawyer who works with clients in a wide range of business sectors. She advises clients on trade marks, patents, particularly of a mechanical nature, designs and copyright.

Kirsten has particular expertise in litigation and has represented clients in disputes in the High Court, the Patents County Court and Court of Appeal. She has represented trade mark clients in proceedings before the Court of First Instance and has assisted in trade mark oppositions and invalidity actions in OHIM and the UKIPO. Kirsten has acted for clients in relation to applications for preliminary injunctions. Kirsten also has experience of ADR including mediation.

She has represented clients in many domain name disputes using various alternate dispute resolution procedures. She also has experience of dealing with the Treasury Solicitors Office regarding the acquisition of bona vacantia intellectual property rights and obtaining vesting orders for intellectual property rights held by the Attorney General on trust.

On the commercial and transactional side, Kirsten advises on registration strategies, brand portfolio management, franchise and licensing agreements and has experience of negotiating collaboration agreements for the development and exploitation of technology. She also has experience of drafting website development and operating agreements including privacy policies, data protection issues and issues relating to children and their use of internet. She has also advised on intellectual property aspects of corporate acquisitions and re-financing deals requiring securisation of intellectual property.

Kirsten joined the firm in December 2000 and became a partner in 2009. She is a member of the Law Society and INTA. She is interested in art, music, reading, films and travel and a supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
