Mark is the founding Partner of Marks & Clerk Solicitors. He provides commercially focused advice in all aspects of intellectual property law.

He has extensive experience in commercial IP work advising clients on strategies for the exploitation of their intellectual property rights and in negotiation and drafting commercial contracts for the acquisition, sale and licensing of such rights.

Mark also advises clients on dispute resolution and strategic issues relating to the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. He has acted in a number of high profile cases before the High Court and Court of Appeal and has particular experience in relation to trade mark, passing off, copyright and design cases. He has also represented clients in proceedings before the Court of First Instance and the European Court of Justice.

Mark founded Blair & Co (now Marks & Clerk Solicitors LLP) in March 2000. He was previously a Partner in a leading New Zealand law firm and later joined the London office of an international law firm before joining Marks & Clerk, Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys as a consultant in 1997.

Marks is a member of the Law Society, and INTA Committee member, IBA and LES. Outside work, Mark's interests are sport, travel and family.
